Gabourey Sidibe responded to hurtful comments about her Golden Globes red carpet look on Monday, Jan. 13, by saying she could not care less about the negative remarks.

After The American Horror Story: Coven actress walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 12, some people turned to Twitter to make nasty comments about her appearance. The 30-year-old wrote the following in response:

"To people making mean comments about my GG pics, I mos def cried about it on that private jet on my way to my dream job last night. #JK."

The message garnered attention from other A-listers and was retweeted by singer P!nk.

Sidibe attended the awards ceremony Sunday night in a custom-made dress by her stylist Daniel Musto, with Michael Costello Couture. Many Twitter users were vocal about how much they disliked the dress, making comments like "Geez! She looks like the chubby ghost from Casper," and, "I get it Gabourey Sidibe you tried to do the 'hour-glass' look in that dress. You just missed it about 10 hours."

Sidibe's fans came in her defense before and after the actress posted her own tweet about the criticism.

"I'm so in love with @GabbySidibe and her confidence. Now, THATS true beauty!," tweeted @Cyn_Santana, while @BeyLuvsMe said, "I wish I was half as confident as @GabbySidibe. Damn."

"I love you Gab, these ppl are so annoying, that's all envy," read another tweet, along with an encouraging "@GabbySidibeYou go girl! You looked amazing!!!!!"

American Horror Story: Coven was nominated at the Golden Globes for Best Mini-series or Motion Picture made for Television. It lost to HBO's Behind the Candelabra.

Sidibe attended the Golden Globes with costar Taissa Farmiga.

"My doll @t_farmiga has the best face! She looks like a dead baby. She knows what I mean! #GoldenGIobes," Sidibe tweeted along with a picture of the two actresses in the car.
