'Jurassic Park 4' Cast: Chris Pratt Set To Star Alongside Bryce Dallas Howard In Upcoming Dinosaur Movie? [VIDEO, PHOTO]
Chris Pratt officially signed on to star in Jurassic World, the upcoming installment part of the Jurassic Park series.
Actor Ron Howard announced the news via Twitter on Sunday, Jan. 12. He tweeted a photo of Pratt and his daughter Bryce Dallas Howard, who will also be in Jurassic World. The photo took place on the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globes.
"Bryce and Chris meet for the 1st time on red carpet they will be co-stars in next Jurassic," he captioned the shot.
There is currently no word on who the actors' will play or what the film's plot entails, though it has been rumored that Jurassic World will take place on the same island as its predecessors but with a bigger park.
Pratt's most previous credits include Delivery Man, Her and Movie 43. He also plays Andy Dwyer on the hit TV series Parks and Recreation. This year he stars in The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Some of Dallas Howard's previous credits include The Help, The Village and 50/50. She also played Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3 and Victoria in The Twilight Sage: Eclipse.
Jurassic Park was originally a book written by Michael Crichton and published in 1990.
Jurassic World will be the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park series.
The original film came out in 1993 and was directed by Steven Spielberg. It won three Oscars for Best Sound, Best Sound Effects Editing and Best Visual Effects. It also won a Peoples' Choice Award for Favorite Motion Picture. The film was brought back to theaters in 2013 in 3D.
Jurassic World comes out in theaters June 12, 2015.
