Drake 'Saturday Night Live' Performance Promo VIDEO Before Host Gig; Rapper Shows His Comedic Side
Drake is going to be the host on Saturday Night Live this weekend and a promotional clip for his gig has him showing off his comedic side.
The singer participates in different takes with SNL regulars Bobby Moynihan and Jay Pharoah as they try to promote the Jan. 18 episode. Drake starts off each clip by saying, "Hi, I'm Drake. And I'll be the host and musical guest this week on SNL," though something different happens in each scene.
The first shows Moynihan wanting Drake to listen to a music beat that might work for his next song. Sitting in a recording studio, the SNL regular plays a rap beat of cats meowing. The Motto singer seems to enjoy it when he says "Those are literally some cool cats." The two laugh then share a high five.
Drake's New Girlfriend Is Who?
The second scene shows Pharoah telling the musician how much he is his "hero" and he wants to kiss him.
"I want to run away with you," Pharoah said gleefully. "Drake, would you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?"
"Are you okay, man?" a confused Drake asked. "'Cause you haven't said anything in like a minute-and-a-half." His co-star responds by saying that it's just great to see him again. They both share a high five with a friendly handshake after which Pharoah randomly smells Drake.

The clip continues with more comedic moments, including Drake mocking himself during his days on the classic teen series Degrassi: The Next Generation. He does a brief monologue as dramatic music plays, which leaves Moynihan nearly in tears while clapping.
Drake serves as SNL's host and musical guest this Saturday at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
