Kesha Rehab Update On Twitter: 'I'm Overwhelmed To Tears,' 'Timber' Singer Says [VIDEO]
Kesha asked her friend to tweet a special message to her fans to let them know how she's doing in rehab.
"This is Kesha's friend. She asked me to tweet an update for her because she doesn't have access to twitter right now," the tweet reads.
"She says "THANK YOU. SOOO MUCH. I'm overwhelmed to tears by all of the love, letters, and support!! I'll be back soon and better than ever."
The 26-year-old singer also had her friend speak on the continuous success of her song with Pitbull, Timber, which was released late in 2013.
"ohhh and she can't believe Timber is still number one! "Fck YEAH animals! PARTY ON!!!!" the friend wrote.
The Die Young singer entered a rehab program in Timberline Knolls, outside of Chicago, earlier in January, to treat her eating disorder.
Her mother, Pebe Sebert, recently spoke with People magazine and said that Kesha's body issues got out of control when she signed with her former manager David Sonenberg when she was 18.
"One time on a conference call, Sonenberg was screaming, 'You need to lose weight! I don't care what you do... take drugs, not eat, stick your finger down your throat!'" Kesha's mother told the magazine. "Kesha was just weeping. She drove around afterward thinking about killing herself."
Sonenberg, however, denied the allegations, People noted.
Kesha's mother also explained to the magazine how serious her eating disorder became.
"The doctors told me her blood pressure and sodium levels were so low, they'd never seen it that low except with someone who'd had a heart attack or stroke," Sebert said. "They said it was a miracle she hadn't already dropped dead on stage."
