All eyes are on Apple's World Wide Developers Conference 2012 (WWDC 2012), and rumors are swirling that a hoard of exciting announcements are set to be made at the landmark event.

According to various sources the eagerly anticipated iOS 6 will be unveiled, as well as an updated version of iCloud. However, the real excitement surrounds rumors that a full range of Mac upgrades will be unveiled at the conference - something that is extremely rare for Apple to do on such a large scale.

Speculation arose this week when a forum poster on a Chinese website submitted an alleged spec sheet for the new laptop. The picture claims the laptop to feature a 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, as well as UBS 3.0 ports, an Ivy Bridge processor and Bluetooth 4.0 support, according to CNET. However, the spec sheet does not boast of a high resolution Retina display - something that has been long touted and expected in the new MacBook pro line.

It has been reported elsewhere that a brand new 15-inch MacBook Pro could be released, which allegedly will be thinner than the 2011 Pro, as well as feature a high-resolution Retina display as released on the most recent iPad earlier this year.

So there is still clear discrepancy between the various rumors. However, according to 9to5 Mac the new MacBook Pro will only be one of Apple's special hardware announcements. If 9to5 Mac sources are correct then an amazing five Mac lines will be updated at the WWDC 2012, which opens on June 11.

Enstarz previously reported that it had heard that one particular area the new Apple laptops will impress in is the use of NAND memory and SSDs. These new technologies are incomparable to the more old style hard drives (HHDs) still used by the majority of PCs.

A number of sources are currently indicating that Apple's iMac will be renewed at the conference, with the Mac Mini also likely to be given an update. However, as usual Apple is keeping everything top secret and the final details will only be confirmed at the conference itself next week.
