Miley Cyrus, ‘Cosmopolitan’ Magazine: Bangerz Singer Shares That She Can’t ‘Control Her Libido?”
Miley Cyrus appeared to share a little more than was necessary when she tweeted to Cosmopolitan Magazine Jan. 24.
The 21-year-old wrote to the magazine Friday to apparently let them know how uncontrollable her reproductive system is.
"Hey @Cosmopolitan I'm just sitting around unable to control my 'libido' & my 'reproductive system.' WBU? How's your Friday?" she tweeted.
The magazine appeared to reply by writing back, "Sexing randoms, the usual #CantControlMyLIbido."
However, the bizarre exchange was not a random call for attention by the singer, and was in fact part of a movement the magazine started.
Cosmo started the #CantControlMyLibido hashtag Friday as a response to Fox News host and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee's 'War on Women' rant at the Republican National Committee's meeting in Washington D.C. yesterday.
Huckabee claimed in his speech at the event that Democrats are guilty of trying to convince women that they need government help to help control their libidos.
"Our party stand for the recognition of the equality of women and the capacity of women," Huckabee said. "That's not a war on them. It's a war for them. And if the Democrats wants to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control, because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it."
