Justin Bieber Deportation: Thousands of Americans Sign Petition To Have ‘Boyfriend’ Singer Removed From U.S. [PHOTO]
Though his 'Beliebers' may still be standing behind him, a significant portion of other Americans are thoroughly sick of Justin Bieber, and have moved to have the Boyfriend singer deported from the United States for good.
The petition, featured on the We the People section of the official White House website, reads:
"We petition the Obama Administration to Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card. We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people be he is also a terrible influence on out nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."
The petition, which was created the same day Bieber was arrested for a drag racing incident in Miami Beach, Fla., was created by someone using the initials "J.A.", from Detroit, Mich. The petition needs to receive a minimum of 100,000 signatures by Feb. 22 to officially come under consideration by the Obama Administration.
As of press time, 78,029 people from across the country had signed the petition.
However, the likeliness of Bieber being deported is extremely slim, unless he is charged with a felony and convicted. Though he is not a citizen and has previously said he has no intentions of becoming one, he is considered a legal permanent resident of the U.S., and therefore cannot be deported unless he is convicted of a serious crime.
His most recent charges stemming from the Jan. 23 DUI and drag racing arrest are all considered misdemeanors, and are therefore not serious enough to warrant deportation.
Bieber still is under investigation and could face felony charges for an egg attack on a neighbor's house.
