Hannibal's Will Graham is the only person to know Dr. Lecter's true identity, and the profiler is desperately trying to get someone to believe him.

Unfortunately, due to Will's (Hugh Dancy) recent mental state and current incarceration, there are few who will listen (see video below). As the NBC drama moves into its second season, Will must rely on Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburn) to investigate his seemingly ludicrous claims that his psychiatrist is both a murderer and a cannibal.

"It felt like we had to strike into new territory, and we had to really shake up the world because we had the slow boil in the first season of, will they realize that Hannibal Lecter is who is he is? Of course the only character who does realize is quickly discredited," said series creator Bryan Fuller, according to Crave Online. "So that game begins anew in Season 2, but under a completely different paradigm where you have Will institutionalized, Hannibal free, no one believing Will because he very clearly lost his mind and lost time, and so is an unreliable narrator in his own story."

Although the premiere opens with a bloody kitchen fight between Jack and Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen), fans will have to wait until later in the season to see what led to the dispute. In the meantime, Dr. Lecter will continue to assist the FBI with their upcoming investigations.

Hannibal's season 2 premieres Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
