One Direction Harry Styles Compared Band's Fame To The Beatles? 'Exactly The Same,' 'Story Of My Life' Singer Says [VIDEO]
Just how famous is One Direction? They might even be bigger than The Beatles, according to one of the group's members.
Harry Styles, 20, compared his band's fame to The Beatles pinpointing the moment the iconic British rock band arrived at New York's John F. Kennedy for their first U.S. tour in 1964.
"Stepping off the plane, the girls, the madness, it was exactly the same as when we go there - just 50 years earlier," Styles recently told Top of the Pops magazine.

While Styles compared the intensity of fame for both of the bands, he admitted that their music isn't on the same level.
"But none of us think we're in the same league as them music-wise. We'd be total fools if we did. Fame-wise it's probably even bigger, but we don't stand anywhere near them in terms of music," he said.
One Direction, who gained success after coming in third on U.K.'s The X Factor in 2010, released three studio albums to date - Midnight Memories, Up All Night and Take Me Home. All of the records debuted at No. 1 on Billboard.
Tickets for the band's first show at Madison Square Garden in 2012 even sold out in a mere 10 minutes.
The band also has more than 17 million followers on Twitter and over 26 million likes on Facebook.
