'50 Shades of Grey' Movie: Anastasia Steele Preparation is 'Kinda Boring' For Dakota Johnson?
Dakota Johnson may have snagged the hottest role in Hollywood right now, but preparing for Anastasia Steele wasn't that exciting for her.
"A lot of getting into the character's head, in Ana's headspace before she meets Christian, so it's a lot of reading, which I love," Johnson told Vanity Fair. "She's an English major, so that's kinda boring."
However, shooting the film has been a much more enjoyable experience for the 24-year-old actress.

"It's been a very smooth and fun and creative experience. I think going into something like this, you kind of have fears of what it could be like and none of those fears are happening," she said.
"We all get along really well and the crew's amazing. We're just all trying to make this project the best it can be."
Johnson will appear in the film adaptation of E. L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey alongside Jamie Dornan, who will play Christian Grey. The actress previously revealed what gives her the confidence to play the lead in the erotic film.
"I don't have any problem doing anything," she told Elle magazine in the March issue. "The secret is I have no shame."
She also explained what intrigued her most about the storyline and it wasn't the raunchiness.
"Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes," she said. "I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down."
Fifty Shades of Grey is expected to come to theaters on Feb. 13, 2015.
