Simon Cowell Baby Birth: 'X Factor' Judge & Girlfriend Lauren Silverman Deliver Boy In New York City On Valentine's Day [PHOTOS]
Simon Cowell's first baby may be a Valentine's Day surprise, as girlfriend Lauren Silverman has reportedly gone into labor at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
Early this morning, TMZ reported that Silverman sent out the bat signal to get Cowell on a private jet, from London to ensure he is right by her side when their new baby boy arrives.
Cowell, who is across the pond filming a new television show, and Silverman met under scandalous circumstances. Silverman is the estranged wife of Cowell's former friend, Andrew Silverman. Reportedly, the two began their steamy affair while she was still married, and the baby came as a bit of a surprise. After Silverman and her husband split up, she and Cowell's relationship went public.
The birth of the new baby boy comes at a good time for the 53-year-old, just as Cowell learned that the U.S. version of X-Factor has been given the boot. Due to poor ratings, and the competition of shows like American Idol and The Voice, Fox officially let it go. In fact, Cowell was in London to film the UK version as a panelist. Instead of sulking, the media mogul can take his mind off the loss and focus on his new bundle of joy.
As for potential names, soon there may be two Simon Cowells walking the earth. In an interview with Extra on Nov. 4th, Cowell said "My number one choice is Simon because I like the name."
