'Avengers 2' Has 'Very Big' Role For Black Widow, Will A Solo Film Follow?

The Joss Whedon film is set to begin production at Shepperton Studios in late March, but recent flooding near the studio in Surry, England has slowed preparations.

Some actors were scheduled for screen and costume testing over the past week, but Comic Book Movie states that the short delays won't hold up production.

A recent tweet from Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk/Bruce Banner) indicates that rehearsals for the Marvel film are well underway.

While the British weather continues to douse Surry, part of the Age of Ulton crew is currently filming on location in South Africa. The two-week Johannesburg shoot is just the first of several international pit stops for the film, one of which will take place at the Bard Fortress in Italy.

However, South African footage is not expected to feature any of Earth's mightiest heroes. Despite this, IGN states that that the action scenes captured in Johannesburg will most likely be incorporated into the film's opening sequence.

Slated to hit theaters on May 1, 2015, Age of Ultron will feature Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), and James Spader (Ultron.)
