Drake is known for being emotional but he's issued a public apology for his most recent rant against Rolling Stone magazine for putting the late Philip Seymour Hoffman on the cover instead of him.

Drake Slams Rolling Stone for Philip Seymour Hoffman Cover

The Started From The Bottom rapper took to his blog to apologize to the magazine and Hoffman's family Friday.

He wrote, "I completely support and agree with Rolling Stone replacing me on the cover with the legendary Philip Seymour Hoffman. He is one of the most incredible actors of our time and a man that deserves to be immortalized by this publication."

He went on to explain why he was so upset that the magazine replaced his cover with the Along Came Polly actor's picture.

"The circumstances at hand are completely justifiable (on the magazine's behalf), but I was not able to salvage my story or my photos and that was devastating. They ran the issue without giving me a choice to be in it or not. I would have waited until it was my time because I understand the magnitude of the cover they chose..."

Earlier this week Drake expressed his frustrations on Twitter and said that he was "disgusted" with Rolling Stone's actions. He also claimed he would not be doing any more interviews via magazines because his words were misconstrued. He said the magazine misprinted quotes he made regarding rappers Kanye West and Fabolous.

"I never commented on Yeezus for my interview portion of Rolling Stone," the rapper tweeted. "I just want to give my music to the people. That's the only way my message gets across accurately."
