Supernatural: Tribes is set to expand the monster/hunter universe, but there is one angelic being who will not be exploring the new Chicago plotline.

What Demonic Secret Will The Winchesters Uncover In 'Captives' [PHOTOS]? Will Snooki Star?

The new Supernatural spin-off will bare a lot of similarities to its parent series, but one thing that will be definitely missing is everybody's favorite angel. While Sam Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) will appear in the upcoming pilot (episode 20) and may make guest appearances on Tribes, Castiel (Misha Collins) will not.

"Yes there has [been discussion of that] and no, that wont be happening," Collins told TV Fanatic in regards to a potential Tribes appearance. "I think it's designed to be very standalone so they're not going to be bringing a lot of characters in. The characters that are introduced in the episode will be the spinoff series characters but they're not going to be carrying characters that have had long arcs on Supernatural over into the new show."

Behind The Casting Of 'Supernatural: Tribes' Spinoff, What Characters Are Up For Grabs?

With an angel war quickly coming to a boil, the celestial being has enough problems to contend with without trying to convince a brand-new hunter that friendly supernatural beings do exist.

However, viewers will get a healthy does of Castiel in Supernatural's next episode, "Captives" (see video below).

Supernatural airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on the CW.
