Good Morning America host Robin Roberts was pictured walking the streets hand-in-hand with longtime girlfriend Amber Laign, in New York City on Feb. 16.

Just days before, the 53-year-old journalist and cancer-survivor celebrated her one-year return to the GMA anchor desk, following her life-threatening bone marrow transplant, and now photographers caught a rare moment with her and girlfriend Amber Laign.
Laign, a blonde massage therapist, was all smiles as she walked down the street. Roberts wore a pink scarf, a black winter coat, and what look to be Olympic-inspired gloves, and dark blue jeans. Laign wore a similar outfit, with a printed scarf instead.

On Thursday morning, GMA co-host Josh Elliot surprised Robin with a heartfelt message, live over the air, expressing how proud he was to sit by her every morning. An emotional Roberts then thanked her GMA team and fans for their support.
The day before, she tweeted, "Just dawned on me that tmrw, Feb. 20, will mark 1 yr that I returned to @GMA. Thank you and bless you all. #LightLovePowerPresence XO".
After a long year of recovery, Roberts is more comfortable with who she is and "grateful" for her life, according to the Facebook post, in which she made her relationship with Laign public. Prior to the message, the couple was rarely pictured together, but now Roberts seems ready to share her relationship with the world.
America may also support her more than anyone else on primetime TV. According to The Wrap, she was voted the most liked morning show host on TV.
