Domracheva, 27, already earned the honor of the first woman to obtain three gold medals in biathlon within the same Olympics.

"Maybe it's strange, but I don't feel like I've done something special," Domracheva told The Associated Press. "I just tried to enjoy myself and I did my race with a laugh. But for sure, it's amazing."
Other gold hopefuls for the intense sport, which combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting, include Norway, Germany and Ukraine.
The biathlon mixed relay also made its Olympic debut in the Winter Olympics on Feb. 19. Along with figure skating and luge, it became the third Winter Olympic sport, in which both men and women compete jointly.
During the mixed relay, women were expected to ski three 2-kilometer loops before they headed to the shooting range twice. The men then had to ski through three loops that were 2.5 kilometers in length. They also had two shooting rounds.
Athletes were permitted to reload three times maximum, but for every missed target they had to ski an additional loop of 150 meters.
Norway dominated the mixed relay with the help of Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, who won his 13th Winter Games medal after his country took the gold.
