Oscars 2014: Pink To Perform For 'Highly Anticipated Moment' As Bette Midler Takes Stage For First Time Ever [VIDEO]
It was just announced that vocal powerhouse Pink will take the stage at the 2014 Oscars.

"Big news!!! I'd like to thank @TheAcademy for inviting me to perform on the #Oscars on March 2nd!! #holycow," the 34-year-old tweeted on Friday.
The show's producers also revealed that Pink's performance will be part of a special segment.
What Might Ellen DeGeneres Do At This Year's Oscars?
"We are very excited to welcome Pink to the Oscar stage for the very first time," producer Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement.
"She is regarded as one of the greatest voices in pop music and one of the best performers of her generation, and we are thrilled to have her join us for a highly anticipated moment on the broadcast."
Pink won't be the only notable singer at this year's award show. Two-time Oscar nominee Better Midler will perform for the first time in her decades-long career.
"We are thrilled to have Bette perform on the Oscars for the very first time," Zadan and Meron also said. "We believe she will make our Oscar telecast an especially moving evening."
The Oscars will air on Sunday, March 2 live on ABC and will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres for the second time.
"Ellen is talented, wonderfully spontaneous, and knows how to entertain a worldwide audience," Dawn Hudson, the Academy CEO, said. "She's a big fan of the Oscars; we're huge fans of hers. It's a perfect match."
