RHONY Cast Update; Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer and More!
One of the smartest things anyone can do when signing up to be on a reality show is to have a business or product to promote. With a national audience having access to your day-to-day life, audiences have a chance to buy into the individual and their various brands. In between the shade, drama, twitter scandals and constant frustrations, reality stars can actually benefit from being on a show every week. Stars like Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Brandi Glanville, Bethenny Frankel and many more have thrived as entreprenuers, and Real Housewives of New York's Aviva Drescher is hoping to see the same levels of success with her new book, Leggy Blonde.
Aviva Drescher has a Masters in literature from the prestigious New York University, and is now readying the release of her memoirs in Leggy Blonde, available on February 25th. In a new interview with PopBytes, Drescher revealed why she wrote the book, "Everyone's touched by anxiety, health issues, addiction, divorce, and marriage - whether it's your own relationships, your parents', or whoever else's - everyone gets touched by these things and I touch on all of them."

The book, which is not just for fans of the tristate franchise, is something Drescher is most proud of because the amount of authority she had during the writing process as opposed to the what fans see of her on the show. "You see more of my sense of humor in the book. I think that when the camera's around, I tend to get a little bit, you know, more uptight. But with the book, I have more control. I can be more myself to a certain extent." She also added her views on returning to the show, "I really feel bulletproof in terms of all the silliness. Last year, I was like this sort of virgin that could be prodded and pulled in different directions. This year, I feel like I just would never get too vested in the positive or the negative. It's just a job."
Finally, she touched on what the new season of Real Housewives of New York will be like with new cast mate, Kristin Taekman. "I think that she is a very beautiful addition, that's for sure. And I can tell you that she throws a good punch."
Hmmm, fans will be able to see how it all plays out when Season 6 premieres on Bravo on Mar. 11th at 9/8c.
