The easy-going Phil Dunphy has one nemesis, and his feud with Gil Thorpe has moved on to the next generation.

The Dunphy patriarch has a long-standing rivalry with his coworker, and the duo are at odds once more in "The Feud." While the duo has kept their sparing to verbal exchanges in the past, things will get physical when Thorpe (Rob Riggle) usurps Phil's (Ty Burrell) position as the company's elected social chair.

Well, not physical for Gil and Phil, per se. No, they will be sitting in the bleachers as their sons battle it out on the wrestling mat.

Unfortunately for Phil, his inability to trounce the Thorpes may run in his genes. It doesn't look like Luke (Nolan Gould) will be having a ton of luck when it comes to pinning Gil Jr. (Rider Joe Bucaro).

Meanwhile, Claire (Julie Bowen) will be dealing with scourge of all elementary school parents - lice. The nasty little critters will have infected Lilly's (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) class, a fact that Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) will surreptitiously leave out when they ask her to pick the youngster up from school.

Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Scroll through the gallery above to see what's in store for the Pritchett-Dunphy clan in "The Feud.
