Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy have been dating for some time now, however their once-steamy romance has cooled off, according to sources close to the couple.

Actress Kate Hudson and musician Matthew Bellamy have fueled break-up rumors lately, as Hudson has appeared alone on red carpets and outings with friends. On Feb. 20, she appeared without her engagement ring at BVLGARI's Decades of Glamour event in LA, adding fuel to the split flames spreading across tabloid news.

Various sources have told stories of the couples' troubled romance. While one source reported to People on Feb. 26, "Kate and Matt have been on the rocks for some time", another source revealed to E!, "They go through their ups and downs like every other couple... But they are working on strengthening their relationship", on that very same day.

The couple, who have been engaged for just under three years, has a 2-year-old son together named Bingham. They spend a lot of their time as a trio, as well as with Hudson's 10-year-old son Ryder, from her previous relationship with Chris Robinson. All of them spent Christmas in the UK while Bellamy performed with his band, Muse.

While the couples' long-time engagement has fueled split rumors before, this time seems to have evidence of their time apart. Hudson has been promoting her new film Wish I Was Here at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, and was spotted in LA and NY without Bellamy.

However, when asked if the couple is splitting up indefinitely, Hudson's rep simply said, "It isn't true."
