'Star Wars Episode 7' Spoilers: Did Adam Driver's 'Girls' Co-Star Lena Dunham Confirm The Actor Would Play The Villain? [VIDEO]
After it was announced that Girls star Adam Driver was likely going to play the villain in Star Wars: Episode VII, it appears that his HBO co-star Lena Dunham may have revealed that this information may in fact be official.
Leading Female Actress Already Been Cast In Episode VII?
On Wednesday, Variety announced that Driver is close to signing on to play the villain in the latest Star Wars flick although it's not a done deal yet. That same day, Driver's Girls co-star Dunham took to Twitter to post how proud she was of Driver.
"We're VERY proud of Adam Driver re: Star Wars. He's about to rip a hole in da force. Is that a thing? I guess I should see those movies?" Dunham wrote on Wednesday.
Han Solo's Millenium To Appear In Episode VII?
While it appeared that Dunham was confirming the information about Driver taking on the role, she followed up with another tweet that same day.
"I confirm nothing bc I know nothing bc I'm on a plane with my dad! I just like Adam more than almost anyone, and JJ Abrams a whole lot too," the Girls star wrote.
Dunham is the creator of the HBO show Girls. She plays Driver's girlfriend on the series as well.
As of now, Driver is one of the few who seem close to officially being attached to Star Wars: Episode VII. Other rumored actors for parts include Gary Oldman and Benedict Cumberbatch who are speculated to be up for the same role.
Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
