Real Housewives of New York Season 6 Spoilers: Carole Radiziwill Dishes On The Sad Truth Of Break-Up [VIDEO]
The new season of Real Housewives of New York is just 6 days away, and Carole Radiziwill has revealed all about her break-up in a new clip released by Bravo.
Carole, a season 5 addition and Emmy Award-winning journalist, dished on her break up with her musician boyfriend Russ Irwin in the season opener of Bravo's Real Housewives of New York. While on location for a photo shoot, which she said she "hates" doing, she invited her cast mate Heather Thompson to accompany her for moral support. Thompson wanted to know what really happened between Irwin and Radizwill, and Carole went on to describe the end.
"You know when you read about those super famous couples and the break up, and they're all like, we still love each other but we are going our separate ways," Radizwill said. "Like Jenn and Brad like hugging on the beach and then 3 months later they are getting divorced... That's not how it was at all."
Though the couple reportedly split privately in 2012, it seems that the 50-year-old author is still going through the motions of completely moving on. However, she still has hope that love will come her way. "I'm holding out for a hero," Radizwill told the cameras.
In the meantime, the author, who has topped the New York Times Best Sellers list with her previous book What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love, which chronicled her husbands' battle with cancer, Radizwill is focused on promoting her second project.
Her new book, entitled The Widow's Guide To Sex and Dating, hit stores on Feb. 11. According to its' 4-star rating on Amazon, it has received good reviews though it is a fiction novel, unlike her last best-seller.
She recently told Us Weekly, "I briefly thought to write my life story as fiction, then decided the story would be too unbelievable! To be honest I thought fiction would be easier than memoir and I quickly learned it was much harder."
She also dished on what fans can expect from her in the new season, "Don't expect me to suddenly become a bey-otch! But this season is much different than last one," she revealed to Us. "I don't seek out drama but it finds me. And my reaction is equal to the issue at hand. Last season I cried. This season I scream. I must say screaming is more rewarding!"
The new season premieres on Bravo March 11 at 9/8c.
