Falling Skies' John Pope will be getting a season 4 love interest in the form of Mira Sorvino.

It looks like the rebel rousing bad boy will find a companion who likes to snuff Skitters just as much as he does when he crosses paths with Sara (Sorvino).

Cast for a multi-episode arc, Sara has just enough secrets to comfortably fit into the tangled web of the 2nd Mass.

"She's a ballsy, brash woman with a complicated past. She proves to be a worthy foil - and ultimately a love interest - for Pope," said executive producer David Eick, according to TV Guide. "They have a classic love-hate dynamic."

As surprising as it is to hear that anybody could actually love Pope (Colin Cunningham), the former criminal has saved a fair number of fighters in the past and has yet to actually stab Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) in the back (although he undoubtedly considers it often). In a post-apocalyptic world, Pope can be a valuable form of protection.

He shouldn't let love blind him, however.

"[Sara] has her secrets, weaknesses, hypocrisies and vulnerabilities," Eick warned TV Guide.

The series wrapped filming on its fourth season in early February, and since than Sorvino has posted a few behind-the-scenes photos. Unfortunately, the actress remains tight-lipped when it comes to sharing detail about her character.

Falling Skies will return to TNT this summer.
