'James Bond 24' First Draft Complete, John Logan To Continue 'Skyfall' Themes, Reference Classic Films [VIDEO]
MI6's most notorious agent is running dodging bullets and charming ladies inside the confines of John Logan's mind.
The Gladiator writer is hard at work formulating a script for James Bond's 24th run on the big screen, and Logan momentarily stepped away from his computer to give fan's an update on 007's next mission.
"Right now the first draft is almost done, I'm terrifically excited about it! I've been working very closely with Sam [Mendes], and it's been joyous to pick up from our work on Skyfall and just continue on with the storytelling," Logan told Empire (via Den of Geek). "The new movie continues the themes of Skyfall. Some of the characters and themes that we began to introduce in Skyfall will play out, I hope successfully, in the next movie."

Mendes, who helmed 2012's Skyfall, will return to direct Daniel Craig (Bond) once more in the untitled project. Referred to as Bond 24, the film will look at Bond's life in the wake of M's (Judi Dench) life.
Kicked off by 2006's Casino Royale, the new sequence of Bond films is known for their renewed focus on character development while including nods to their classic predecessors. Bond 24 will utilize this same formula.
"Honestly, not being evasive, but the great thing about Bond is that I have 50 years of movies - 23 movies and all the Ian Fleming novels and short stories, all of which are fodder," Logan explained. "And when I'm working on the new Bond I'm constantly going back to Fleming and the other movies - what are the bits and pieces, what are the resonances?"
The next 007 flick will hit theaters on Nov. 6, 2015. Click the video below to get a glimpse at SKyfall.
