Teresa and Joe Giudice have pled guilty to lessened jail time after they reached a plea deal with the prosecution, but their troubles are far from over as Joe may need to be deported.

Teresa and Joe Plead Guilty in New Jersey

Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice pled guilty in a Newark court room to the 41 charges of bank and wire fraud that they were indicted on last year, as EnstarsTV reported last week. Now, sources are reporting that the father of the Giudice clan may have to return to his roots, as deportation is a possible outcome of the case.

Joe Giudice and his parents moved to the U.S. when he was only one, but he still is not considered a citizen. Apparently, he did not even know his the status of his citizenship until recently.

Still, according to Above the Law, "Under the law, a fraud conviction causing more than $10,000 in damages (the damages alleged here exceed $1 million) is an aggravated felony."

If the Bureau of Prisons to Immigration and Customs Enforcement decides to force him to leave the country, he could be deported immediately after sentencing on July 8.

With the new plea deal the Giudices reached, Teresa would serve a minimum of 21 to 27 months while Joe is likely to serve a minimum of three years with the deportation still on the table. With their four daughters, the possibility of jail time raises major concerns about what will happen if both parents are convicted. If deported, he can apply to re-enter the country after 20 years, but his children will be much older.

While the family remains hopeful, spending time doing normal things like attending cheer competitions, Joe Giudice's lawyer Miles Feinstein recently revealed to Us Weekly that, "The great likelihood is that Joe will get some jail time. There's no doubt about it. It's just a matter of how long."
