Doctor Who has snagged a new baddie in the form of Ms Delphox.

Sylvester McCoy Confirms The Master's Return To 'Doctor Who'? Who Will Take The Role

'Line of Duty' star Keeley Hawes will be swapping her detective's badge for a ledger when she takes on the role of Ms Delphox, an out-of-this world banker with a seemingly villainous nature.

"Anyone watching Jed Mercurio's amazing Line Of Duty will know that Keeley Hawes is having one hell of year," said showrunner Steven Moffat, according to the BBC. "And now it's about to get even better as she achieves the greatest villainy yet attempted on Doctor Who: she plays a banker."

Are Danny & Clara An Item On 'Doctor Who'?

Set to appear in episode 5 of the BBC series' fifth season, Ms. Delephox will come the attention of the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara (Jenna Louise Coleman) after they make a unrelated visit to another planet. Unfortunately for the devious banker, whatever mischief she has created will certainly be no match for the Doctor.

Nevertheless, Hawes is excited to go up against the newly regenerated Twelfth Doctor and his loyal companion.

"I am delighted to join Doctor Who and to be working with this incredible team," Hawes told the BBC. "Ms Delphox is a great character and someone I've had a lot of fun playing."

The untitled episode was penned by Sherlock and Doctor Who alum Steve Thompson and directed by Line of Duty's own Douglas Mackinnon.

Doctor Who will return to the BBC and BBC America later this year. Click the video below to see Capaldi and Coleman hard at work on the premiere episode.
