Sevyn Streeter, Chris Brown's budding R&B artist, debuted a new video overnight inspired by BET's hit show, Being Mary Jane.

Chris Brown Comeback? Tank Thinks So

Grammy-award winning singer and songwriter, Sevyn Streeter, released the video Wednesday night for her new single, nEXt from her first solo EP, Call Me Crazy... But. After a packed SOB's performance in New York City on Monday night, the 27-year-old Florida native gave fans the visual for one of her favorite songs featuring Los Angeles rapper, Kid Ink.

Streeter, who fans may recognize as the female vocals on Chris Brown's She Ain't You and more, has been in the industry for over a decade. Following a few attempts in girl groups like RichGirl and TG4, becoming a solo artist has worked out in her favor as her single, It Won't Stop, topped Billboard's Hip Hop/R&B charts for 9 weeks.

Now, the talented writer behind Ariana Grande's hit The Way is slowly but surely making her own mark on the industry.

Her sound is strong, soulful, and raw. Known for her ability to "Taylor-Swift" the guys she dates, her lyrics connect with female and male fans who are in and out of love-- Or in the case of nEXt, returning to a love that may not be good for them.

In the Being Mary Jane-inspired video, Sevyn plays a reporter whose boyfriend broke up with her seconds before she was supposed to be on-air. Similar to Gabrielle Union's character in the BET original series, Streeter ends up returning to the man who broke her heart and things get pretty steamy.
