Wale WWE Fight After Threatening Tweet And More Rappers Who Hit Fans [VIDEOS]
Wale made headlines for reportedly punching a man in the face at WWE’s Raw on Monday night and some of the confrontation was caught on video.
The rapper was at the Washington D.C. event, when he received a threatening tweet from another attendee who wrote, "You at Monday night raw f---boy? Come see me in the ring and catch this stunner @wale."
The tweets have since been deleted but at the moment they angered Wale so much that he went after the social media user.
However, despite the rumors that the Maybach Music Group star hit the guy, he insists it never escalated to that point.
“Honestly, if there wasn't kids right there, it would have went a little bit differently, but I just wanted to be conscious of them,” he told MTV. “It's not to say it was the right decision. But in the moment, you know."
Yet, Wale isn’t the first rapper to get into an altercation with a fan or random person at an event. He joins a list of several others including Pitbull, Kid Cudi and more.
Pitbull knocked out a fan at a concert in Colorado in 2009 for throwing money on the stage several times throughout the show. At one point, Pitbull reportedly invited the guy on the stage while he was performing Bojangles to tell him to stop, but the concertgoer threw money in his face again. That’s when Pitbull lost his cool and punched him.
A similar situation happened that same year with Kid Cudi, who punched a fan at a Vancouver show for throwing a wallet on stage. A year later, Cudi invited the fan named Michael, to his show at Sasquatch Music Feastival in Washington and said, “It's all okay, he forgives me." Turns out he wasn't the one who threw the wallet in the first place.
A$AP Rocky took it a step further and slapped a female fan in the face after she blew him a kiss as he was walking through the crowd at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Australia in 2013.
Gucci Mane also pushed a female when she jumped on stage during a 2009 performance. He even proceeded to punch her in the face.
