Apollo Nida Arrest 2014: 'RHOA' Star SLAMS Charity's Claim That He Was Scamming Them, 'It's Complete Erratic Behavior' [VIDEO]
Apollo Nida is out to clear his name against claims that he tried to scam a charity out of $2,000.

Word got out Wednesday that Nida demanded $2,000 upfront for a speaking scheduled after his preliminary hearing for his fraud case set for April 25. Nida is currently facing serious fraud charges including bank and identity theft after being arrested on Jan. 24. With the event taking place after his hearing date, it was implied that he could take off with the money if he didn't make the engagement. Nida got word of the rumors and set the record straight with a YouTube video later that day.
"I got a call from my manager/booking agent last night telling me that something has went viral about a ploy to use me and use my brand for a [so called] non-profit organization who's not even (501-C3)."

He went on to say that someone from the organization, which is called Dio Bambini, reached out to Nida's camp about making an appearance at the event and sent over a contract which stated he would receive a 50 percent deposit that would be fully refunded if for some reason he could not show up to the event.
"At that point the contract was never signed," Nida said. "No money was even exchanged and next thing you know it's all going viral that Apollo tries to run a scam on a charity foundation. That is totally false. I've spoken at The Ryan Cameron Foundation, I've spoken at Mason Lodges, I've spoken at Vanderbuilt, Tennessee State for the children. At the end of the day I'm all about the kids."
He added that the $2,000 was just his fee that would cover hotel, flight, food and clothing, not for his own personal profit.
"For someone to do this to me is just complete erratic behavior. Right now there is circumstances that is going on that everybody knows about. I got a lot of people supporting me a lot of haters not supporting me. At the end of the day, for you to try to mess up a brand like Nida Fitness, Apollo Nida is a brand..."
He also revealed the individual who made the claims about Nida, Chase DeCaro, went out and contacted blog sites about the whole ordeal to slander his name. Nida went on to clear his name.
"No one has ever said Apollo has done bad business with them. Half of the stuff that I own or have, I fund my own projects. So I don't owe anybody anything. At the end of the day I'm upset and I'm just taking it to the streets... I've done nothing wrong. Especially with a charity that is telling me, 'Hey I want you to come speak to these kids. A black tie event. I was ready to go.'"
He added that he had high hopes of his young audience taking his advice and not following mistakes he has made in the past.
