ACM Awards 2014 Red Carpet: Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Faith Hill & More Wear 'Prom Dresses?' [PHOTOS, VIDEO]
The 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Sunday night, and some of the who's who in country music may have looked as though they were headed to "prom" rather than the red carpet.
Miranda Lambert Weight Loss, Follows Blake Shelton Cheating Rumors
Last night, the rodeo was in town for a show in Las Vegas, Nevada - for the 2014 ACM Awards, that is. Monday, The Huffington Post reported that the styles seen on the show's red carpet April 6 were different than the looks some may be used to seeing on other award show carpets. "Many of the flowing gowns took us back to our high school days when we were getting ready for prom," shared the report.
Reportedly, some of country music's favorite cowgirls featured "standout looks," and some even appeared a bit risqué on the carpet. The highlights of the carpet included Miranda Lambert, Faith Hill, Kellie Pickler, and Taylor Swift, who all came out swinging in some pretty fierce fashions.
"Miranda Lambert stepped out in a nude and cleavage-baring Randi Rahm gown and Faith Hill took the plunge in a Saint Laurent powder blue long-sleeved gown. Kellie Pickler looked sugary sweet in a Romona Keveza lavender strapless chiffon gown with a Swarovski crystal belt. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift turned things up a notch in a black-and-white crop top and high slit skirt," said The Huffington Post.
Likewise, it seems as though the overall consensus within the fashion world currently, is that the 2014 ACM Awards red carpet featured zero sartorial faux pas'. Thus, perhaps this time, any potential award for best-dressed goes to each of them equally. However, check out the video below to see who won for Best Female Vocalist Of The Year. Game on!
