Karen Klein, the 68-year-old bus monitor who was filmed being driven to tears after being bullied by schoolchildren has received an apology from her bullies. She was reportedly handed with apology statements written by some of the boys who had cruelly taunted her. The boys, whose families have since received death threats from the public, have not been identified.

According to Detroit Free Press, Wesley wrote: "I feel really bad about what I did. I wish I had never done those things. If that had happened to someone in my family, like my mother or grandmother, I would be really mad at them."

"I am so sorry for the way I treated you," wrote Josh. "When I saw the video, I was disgusted and could not believe I did that. I am sorry for being so mean and I will never treat anyone this way again."

The parents of the bullies also offered sincere apologies. Wesley's mother wrote: "It made me cry to see how cruel my son and the other boys were being to you. I am deeply sorry for what my son did. I wish there was some way to make it up to you." Luis' father also wrote: "We apologize, from the bottom of our hearts, on what happened. We wish this will never happen again, to nobody and from nobody."

The video showing Klein being bullied by middle school students in New York State went viral this week, prompting media, celebrities and people around the world to respond.

The YouTube Video showing the footage of the bullying has been viewed over 5.5 million times. The 10-minute raw footage shows Klein sitting in the school bus and been brought to tears as the children call her "ugly fat ass" and tell her "you don't have a family because they all killed themselves because they don't want to be near you."

Klein has reportedly been a widow for 17 years and has eight grandchildren.
