Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss finally married her longtime sweetheart Todd Tucker, in Atlanta over the weekend, and the details have finally been released.
Todd Tucker Gets Wild at Bachelor Party!
In the newest issue of In Touch Weekly, Kandi and Todd reveal the details of their Coming to America-inspired wedding ceremony. Though Burruss' mom, Mama Joyce, did attend the nuptials, she was still not completely on board with the union. This comes as no surprise to fans who have watched the turmoil between the three of them play out on this season of their hit Bravo show, but sources did say that she was on her best behavior.
According to In Touch, Kandi was very happy with how the wedding turned out. "The whole thing was like a fairy tale!" exclaimed the music mogul. The two walked down the aisle on Apr. 4 in front of 300 family, friends, and cast mates alike.
REWIND! Kandi Burruss Reveals Wedding Date Details
In the new photos, Kandi's dress is shown for the first time. With a sparkly tiara, and a diamond necklace to match, the 37-year-old wore an off-white, metallic sequins dress with 20-feet of pure ostrich feathers to complete the look. The dress alone cost $20,000 and was made by Reco Chapple especially for the new bride.
With all the back and forth arguing with her mom, Kandi had doubts as to when the wedding date would be. She ultimately took a leap of faith and decided to get married with only one month to plan the entire event.
She explained, "I didn't know if I was going to be able to pull this all together. I couldn't wait around hoping things would get better. I just had to do it and hope for the best."
Both Phaedra Williams and Kandi's best friend Camron Cabrice, as well as Tameka 'Tiny' Harris were bridesmaids in the wedding. The guests included cast mates Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey, Monica Brown, Tamar Braxton, Rasheeda Frost and Fantasia Barrino, but Nene Leakes and Kenya Moore were nowhere to be found. In their defense, they are both taping individual shows right now, but many were wondering what happened to her other RHOA members.
Yesterday, Bravo revealed its new shows and a list of renewed programs. Kandi's wedding special was included in the list, so it looks like fans will be able to see all of the drama and happiness go down.
Congrats to Kandi and Todd!
