Kerry Washington Gave Birth to Baby Girl Named Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha; PHOTOS Not Released of New Daughter
Kerry Washington secretly gave birth to a baby girl two weeks ago.
TMZ reported that the Scandal star and husband, Nnamdi Asomugha welcomed their first daughter, Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha two weeks ago on April 21. The baby was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, the same place Kim Kardashian gave birth to baby North West last summer.
The site also noted that Asomugha signed the birth certificate more than a week after the birth. Isabelle's birth measurements were not released to the public.
Washington nor Nnamdi has made no mention of their new arrival, even as the actress has been active on her Twitter account. Last week, she tweeted that she attended the Penn Relays track and field tournament in Pennsylvania with her dad.
The news being a secret doesn't come at a surprise. Last year Washington and Nnamdi wed in a secret ceremony on June 24.
Washington was recently featured in People's 2014 World's Most Beautiful list.
She admitted to the magazine that although she is considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, she too, has insecurities, in which she believes imperfections are actually a gift.
"The reality is we all have nerves and moments of insecurity ... But if I said to myself that I'm only going to show up, or speak or be visible when I'm perfect, I would never get out of bed.I [show up] to be of service and to be used for something greater. It's about knowing what I am in this moment is what I need to be, and going for it," she said.
