The rumored feud between pop star Katy Perry and her friend Rihanna is continuing to grow now that the Diamonds singer is reportedly about to collaborate with her friend's ex John Mayer.

On Saturday, Music News posted the details from the British magazine Now, mentioning that Rihanna apparently asked Mayer to sing vocals for her new track, which Perry is not happy about.
"Katy's been left shocked and hurt after finding out John and Rihanna met up at a recording studio in LA two weeks ago before having dinner," a source reportedly told the magazine. "Rihanna asked John to sing vocals on a new track, but Katy's flipped out and told her best mate she's gone one step too far this time. Katy's totally unimpressed."
Rumor has it that Perry was going through a difficult time when she split with Mayer.
"She was madly in love with John and heartbroken when it didn't work out," the source said. "The last thing any girl wants is to see her best friend getting chummy with their ex. It's a complete slap in the face."
Further reports were published on Sugar Scape, saying that Perry was upset with the Pour it Up star after she allegedly got friendly with Mayer at LA's Soho House.
"It seems like such a low blow," a source said. "Rihanna has been so negative about John, she's always told Katy he's not worth her tears. So to find out that Ri was being all friendly with him is incredibly hurtful. Katy sees it as a betrayal."
