Beyonce 'SNL' Skit; 'Drunk In Love' Singer Responds To 'The BeyGency,' Imitating The 'BeyHive'? [VIDEO, PHOTOS]
Saturday Night Live spoofs the world's slight obsession with Beyoncé, in a new hilarious skit that debuted over the weekend.
Beyoncé and Jay Z are Really Going on Tour, Rumors Were True! [VIDEO]
According to the writers at SNL, Queen Bey is not the one to mess with. In the new skit, a young man- played by Spider-Man 2 star Andrew Garfield- mentions that he is not a fan of her hit duet with Jay Z, Drunk in Love. Then, his friends react and The Adjustment Bureau-esque hilarity ensues, as he has to figure out a way to hide from "The BeyGency," who must wipe out anyone who decides to challenge Mrs. Carter.
Unfortunately, in this instance, art imitates life. The #BeyHive, Beyoncé's unapologetic and opinionated core fan base, has been known to strike back at anyone who speaks out against the entertainer. Some even believe that certain celebrities' careers have tanked because of their disagreement.
Beyoncé Covers Time Magazine's Most Influential Issue
Keri Hilson, who at one point received the BET Award for Best New Artist, seemed to mention the singer in the remix of her smash hit, Turnin' Me On. As soon as the BeyHive heard about it, they swore off Hilson and her music. Though there has been no solid evidence or correlation to the BeyHive and Hilson's possible career slump, many believe that with the immense number of fans Beyoncé has, it is never good for your music career to disagree with her in the public eye.
The anti-Hilson campaign got so bad that at one point, she had to address the fans on her own Twitter, tweeting:
Keyshia Cole, who spoke out against Blue Ivy's mother after Bow Down was released, also received backlash from the infamous fan base. In March of last year, she tweeted, "Can't stand when people all self righteous when it's convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk s--- when convenient 2 FOH."
SNL's viral video was indeed inspired by true events, only taking it a tad bit further as most only use Twitter to defend Beyoncé.

Beyoncé has also seen the skit, and according to her recent post on Instagram, she thought it was funny, too.
