Pop star Cody Simpson and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid have allegedly broken up, and it's been reported that Hadid was the one who likely ended it.

On Monday, Hollywood Life posted a story on the incident where they spoke to the pop star, himself, on what he did for his girl while they were together. It looks like Simpson is a fan of romance, which leaves speculation on the breakup coming from Hadid or not.
"I write songs, I write poems and take her to Nobu [restaurant], stuff like that. But mostly songs," Simpson said.

The singer then revealed a moment he shared with Hadid for their six month anniversary, and how important it is for him to show a woman how he feels about her.
"When I had known her for six months, I sent her six dozen roses, which makes me wonder what I will do when I know her for 12. But I send her roses kind of regularly," Simpson said. "It is important to express to a woman the way you feel, both positively and negatively. But she is such a beautiful person and she is my best mate! So it's all good."
The two split after a year of dating where Simpson's rep revealed that the two still remain friends.
"Their busy schedules and living on opposite coasts have made it nearly impossible for the two of them to give the relationship the attention that it needs," the singer's rep said. "They decided that rather than let things sour that they [would] split up in hopes that their lives might someday bring them back together. They remain close friends and will continue to show their support for one another."
