Last month, Gordon spoke to ESPN and revealed that his decision to come out was sparked by Brooklyn Nets center Jason Collins who acknowledged his sexuality in April 2013. He said that when Collins revealed his sexuality, he wanted to come out the "next day."

"I just didn't want to hide anymore, in any way," Gordon told ESPN. "I didn't want to have to lie or sneak. I've been waiting and watching for the last few months, wondering when a Division I player would come out, and finally I just said, 'Why not me?'"

"I just had a lot of time to myself, thinking, and I didn't know what I was waiting for," Gordon said. "I know who I am and I'm happy who I am."

As far McCullouch, he played the role of Bobby Dawson on CSI and has also played in several same-sex films including, Bear City.
