Golden State Warriors Coach Mark Jackson was the target of an extortion plot by a former stripper named Alexis Adams with whom he had an extramarital affair six years ago, reports the site thesmokinggun.com.

Adams, 28 (photo) was arrested this week together with an alleged coconspirator named Marcus Shaw,40 , for demanding a large sum of money to keep nude photographs of Jackson from being released to tabloids.

According to court documents published in thesmokinggun.com, the extortionist identified as Shaw, got a $5,000 first payment from Jackson but later demanded $185,000 more to keep the photos from being released.

“I recognize the extremely poor judgment that I used both in having an affair six years ago — including the embarrassing communication I exhibited during that time — and in attempting to deal with the extortion scheme at first by myself,” Jackson said in a prepared statement.

“I made some egregious errors. I apologize for any embarrassment I may have caused my family, friends and, of course, the Warriors."

Adams was released on $25,000 bail but Shaw remained in jail because of his criminal background, according to the Associated Press.

The former stripper has been charged with conspiracy and extortion and faces up to five years in jail. Shaw is charged with extortion and faces up to two years in jail, according to Feds.

Jackson and Adams reportedly had an affair that lasted less than one year and during that time, he sent her nude photos of himself.

Jackson and his wife reconciled and now he is a Church minister in Los Angeles. He lives with his wife and four children.
