Todd Chrisley's wife, Julie, is fighting back against claims that she hid assets for him during his bankruptcy ordeal.

Todd Owes Nearly $1 Milion to Creditors?

She is heading to court after the trustee handling the case, Jason Pettie, filed a lawsuit against her for allegedly receiving fraudulent transfers from Todd with the intent to hide them from creditors. According to court documents obtained by LA Late, Julie denies her involvement and has filed a countersuit against Pettie. She also wants the entire case to go to a trial with a jury within the next few months.

Todd recently spoke out about his financial woes and claimed they were a thing of the past.

Julie Accused of Hiding Assets?

"[This is] just a regurgitation of what happened in 2012. We're very blessed. It's 2014, we've moved on."

But it's definitely not over. While Todd filed for bankruptcy in August 2012, it was actually their hit USA reality show Chrisley Knows Best which aired earlier this year that made Pettie suspicious.

After Todd bragged on the series about spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on his and Julie's wardrobe, Pettie filed a complaint.

In it he wrote, "Neither [Chrisley nor his wife, Julie] have been employed since 2012. However, they continue to live in lavish residences, drive expensive vehicles and travel extensively. [They also continue to make] high-end clothing and accessory purchases."

Todd's lawyer, Robert Furr, did attempt to clear up speculation and claimed that Todd gets a deal on his name brand clothes.

"Those are procedural aspects regarding the value of certain personal property that he owns. We'll have the clothes appraised. But I go on eBay and used designer clothes don't sell for much. These are used clothes."
