Chris Brown Jail Time Extended to Additional 131 Days for Probation Violation, But Could Be Released Soon
Singer Chris Brown will remain in jail after a judge sentenced him to serve an additional 131 days.
In court on Friday, Brown admitted that he violated his probation by getting into an altercation outside a hotel Washington D.C. during Howard University's homecoming in October last year.
The Loyal singer has already spent a few months in jail and more than three months in a rehab, which he will be given 234 days of credit for the time he already served.
Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos said he would possibly get an early release by the weekend because he served spent 234 of the 365 days. Since mid-March, Brown had been in custody when he was arrested after being kicked out from a rehab center for violating its rules.
His mother and other supporters were present for Friday's court proceedings.
Enstars reported earlier that Brown has been confiding in his on/off again girlfriend Karrueche Tran and recently got emotional about being in jail longer than he expected.
"Kae couldn't believe it because he's rarely ever emotional with her," a source close to the couple told Hollywoodlife, adding, "He told her he's tired and that he couldn't sleep and how he doesn't know if he'll be able to fall asleep because he's nervous."
"He told her to keep her fingers crossed for him and keep good thoughts because he doesn't know what's going to happen," the source said.
Brown, 25, will stay on probation until January 23, 2015.
