It will be the first time they've been seen in public together in several months, but both Ryan Gosling and his girlfriend Eva Mendes are expected to attend the Cannes Film Festival later this week.

Eva Mendes Sells Home?

The actor will be making his directorial debut at the event for his film Lost River, which Medes starred in alongside Matt Smith, Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks and Ben Mendelsohn.

If the couple walks the red carpet together, it would be the first time they've been seen together since 2013.

Due to their intense privacy where their relationship is concerned, the couple has often combatted endless split rumors as a result. However, recent rumors all seem to point toward the couple still being together and happy, but also secretly engaged.

Since engagement rumors broke in April, neither one has made an official comment, though both appear to be dropping subtle hints that something is going on.

Shortly after the news of a possible engagement broke, Mendes managed to sell the home she once shared with ex, George Augusto, for $10,000 over her asking price.

Meanwhile Gosling has rarely been seen in public, though he did make a brief appearance at the Red Carpet in San Francisco for the movie White Shadow Though his attire was casual at the event, he did sport a medallion around his neck engraves with the name "Hugo"-the name of Mendes' dog.

The couple's lack of being photographed together, as well as not publicly commenting on their relationship, has resulted in numerous rumors about their relationship, including several reports they had broken up because of commitment issues and even cheating. One popular rumor even claimed Gosling had been planning on rekindling his romance with his Notebook co-star and former girlfriend, Rachel McAdams.
