After an impressive career that spanned more than 50 years in television news, legendary interviewer and journalist Barbara Walters is officially saying goodbye after her final episode of daytime talk show The View airs May 16.

The episode, which will celebrate Walters' impressive career, will include visits from Michael Douglas, as well as surprise appearances from Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton as well, as they sit down with the 84-year-old and thank her for being a pioneer for women everywhere.

Clinton was the first of a group of surprise guests Walters didn't know would be coming, and the two joked about rumors Clinton would be running for President in 2016, as well as her potentially replacing Walters on the daytime talk show.

Winfrey followed later in the broadcast, thanking Walters for being a pioneer for women who owe their careers to the trail she blazed for them.

"I want to thank you for being a pioneer, and everything that that word means. It means being the first: the first to knock down the door, to break down the barriers, to pave the road that we all walk on," Winfrey said.

The famous media mogul also brought out several other female television journalists and hosts who all wanted to pay tribute to Walters, including: Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, Jane Pauley, Joan Lunden, Connie Chung, Elizabeth Vargas, Robin Roberts, Amy Robach, Juju Chang, Savannah Guthrie, Natalie Morales, Tamron Hall, Hoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Gifford, Maria Shriver, Mika Brzezinski, Paula Zahn, Gayle King and Lisa Ling.

Walters' long career has included hosting on The Today Show, 20/20, ABC Evening News and ABC News. She has co-produced and co-anchored The View since its inception in 1997.

Her last appearance is scheduled on The View Friday, May 16 at 11 a.m. on ABC.
