Apollo NIda Charges: 'Real Housewives' Star Slams Rumors That Phaedra Parks Was Involved
Apollo Nida has broken his silence and spoken out about speculation that his wife was involved his criminal activity.
Phaedra Parks Stands By Apollo Nida?
In particular, Nida spoke on Angela Stanton's claims that Parks is a "crooked attorney" who was the mastermind behind she and Nida's previous racketeering case that landed him in jail between 2004-2009. Stanton served five years behind bars as well.
During an interview for the newest issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine, Nida said, "First of all, my wife has never, ever committed any type of crime. Angela will whatever she wants to say."
Phaedra Parks Denies Fraud Claims Against Her?
Nida revealed that Stanton was extremely upset when she was released from jail and got word that Nida and Parks had become reality stars on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
"At that point, she just went ballistic. She's calling up there. So this is a situation where me and Phaedra always talk. I said to her - back then, when this was happening in 2010- 'Let's sit down and talk to her.' 'No.' Phaedra, that's how she is and that's probably where we are to this point in a lot of things because sometimes in life, if you have a mate, you have compromise. My thing was, 'hey, I like to attack confrontation head-on.'"
While Parks didn't want to deal with drama Stanton was causing, she got her attention anyway. Stanton wrote a book that detailed her claims titled Lies of a Real Housewife. Nida said he believes it was all a desperate attempt to become famous and said there are very few implications in the memoir that are actually true.
