Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are currently working through a rough patch in their marriage but according to new allegations, Dean might only be sticking around to cash in on his wife's inheritance.

The couple has been working through their marital issues along with Dean's sex and alcohol addiction on their Lifetime reality television show, True Tori, but behind the scenes Dean is said to be patiently waiting for his wife to inherit a portion of her late father Aaron Spelling's $500 million dollar fortune.

Tori's father died in 2006, leaving his wife Candi Spelling and their two children Tori and Randy a good portion of his estate. During that time, as the estate's executor Candy gave both of her children only $800,000 each which is significantly less than what they should supposedly receive. According to law though, Candy is still obliged to give her children a share of Aaron's fortune, which Dean has been patiently waiting for on his end.

There are whispers in the blogosphere that Dean doesn't want to divorce Tori just yet as he would rather wait until he can capitalize on her inheritance. With both of them being unable to find any regular television or film work and rumors of financial troubles for sometime now, there's a good chance that Dean is just right time for him before making his exit from his marriage with Tori.

Meanwhile, Tori is pulling the strings in their marriage, having reportedly left Dean to take care of their four children without the help of nannies during her recent hospitalization. Radar Online reports that a producer from their reality show had to call Dean to give him updates on her condition which the a source says "speaks volumes" about their relationship.
