The Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest will take place tomorrow at noon. The annual event will be streamed live via ESPN and will also be televised on tape delay.

There will be a separate competition for men and women. The women's reigning champion is Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas of Alexandria, VA. She set the world women's record by scoffing down 41 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. For the men's, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut of San Jose, CA, has set the record for five years straight, with 68 hot dogs and buns.

ESPN has been televising the traditional New York event since 2004.

New York's Mayor Bloomberg presided over the official "Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest" weigh-in at City Hall Park today. He said of the event: "Let me be perfectly frank. I relish it."

The contest will take place at The Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual traditional competition held on July 4 at Nathan's flagship restaurant in Coney Island, New York.

Over 40,000 spectators attended the event in 2011 and 1.949 million viewers watched it live on ESPN.
