If you're in and around Los Angeles on this 4th of July, you're in for a treat. The City of Angels offers many options for families with children, sports fanatics and adults looking for a good time. The city will be decked out in red, white and blue decorations as it welcomes the fireworks display.

There will be a game today with the Dodgers playing against the Cincinnati Reds at Dodger Stadium. , The fireworks display will start after the game ends at 6:10 p.m.

For families and the like, there will be a 4th of July parade at the Pacific Palisades where divers wearing parachutes drop down from the sky to begin this annual event starting at 1:50 p.m.

Fourth of July celebrations kick off Saturday with a 10 p.m. show at the Hollywood Bowl in the Hollywood Hills, which follows a Hall & Oates concert.

Weather specialist Bonnie Bartling said the only hitch could be clouds that move in and out at the beaches starting around 6 p.m., making fireworks along the coast a little hard to see from a distance, according to the L.A. Times.

"Historically, it sort of gets icky when it's time for the fireworks if they're at the beach, but then you have sulfur in the air anyway, so it looks like clouds," she said.

According to Bartling, the afternoon should be clear, and she has a simple message for those with plans to celebrate America's birthday.
