Pop star Katy Perry recently dished on her breakup with John Mayer and how it's currently been affecting her.

The Dark Horse singer is on the cover of Cosmopolitan's July issue where she mentioned that despite any rumors, she does not hold anything against her ex.

"I have a lot of respect for [John] still, and I know it goes both ways," she told the magazine, as published by Take 40 on Thursday. "There's no bad blood, but I'm sure there will be inspired songs."

The pop star also had an interview with talk show host Chelsea Handler reportedly for the magazine where she mentioned what she's currently focusing on.

"I know it sounds really hippie-s---, but I'm living in the now and not fantasizing about the future or [being] torn up about the past," Perry said.

The singer also talked about her split from ex-husband, Russell Brand, where she revealed that professional help was a positive benefit.

"A lot of therapy has happened [since Russell Brand] and a lot of understanding and growth," Perry said, published in The Independent. "Sometimes you have to go through all this s--- to get your grips on life, and figure out what your next boundaries in your love life and world are going to be."

Cosmopolitan editor, Joanna Coles, dished on the singer's cover on why it's worth gushing over.

"Katy's music and attitude have universal appeal to young women everywhere," she said.

"She crosses all cultural boundaries," Coles continued. "Her music is soulful and empowering in equal measure. She's the first Cosmo global icon."
