Miss USA 2014 Winner Nia Sanchez: Impresses With Answer On Sexual Violence [VIDEO]
Miss Nevada Nia Sanchez took the crown at the Miss USA pageant on Sunday night.

The 24-year-old beat out 50 other women at the Baton Rouge River Center in Baton Rouge, La., including the first runner-up, Miss North Dakota Audra Mari. The other front-runners were Miss Louisiana Brittany Guidry, Miss Georgia Tiana Griggs, Miss Florida Brittany Oldehoff and Miss Iowa Carlyn Bradarich.
Sanchez, a fourth-degree black belt in taekwondo, was given the crown by the Miss USA 2013 winner, Erin Brady of Connecticut.

The beauty queen gave an appropriate answer after judge Rumer Willis asked for her opinion on what policies should be implemented on college campuses to prevent sexual violence.
"I believe that some colleges may potentially be afraid of having a bad reputation and that would be a reason it could be swept under the rug, because they don't want that to come out into the public," Sanchez responded to the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore.
"But I think more awareness is very important so women can learn how to protect themselves. Myself, as a fourth-degree black belt, I learned from a young age that you need to be confident and be able to defend yourself. And I think that's something that we should start to really implement for a lot of women."
The new Miss USA will also represent her country at the upcoming Miss Universe competition.
