'Downton Abbey' Season 5 Premiere: Former Character To Return After Having A 'Phenomenal Time' In The First Year? [VIDEO]
After a certain character made a sudden departure from Game of Thrones, there's a rumor going around that there might be a return to another TV show.
Downton Abbey Will Take On A Different Style?
On Sunday, Entertainment Weekly posted an interview with actress Rose Leslie, who dished on what it was like being a part of Game of Thrones. She was then asked if there is any chance she might consider making a return to Downton Abbey to reprise her role as Gwen Dawson.
"I had such a phenomenal time on season one," Leslie said. "But no, I think Gwen is very happy now that she's married so I think she's living her life with her husband and I think we should leave that be."
Actress Takes Photos Of The Set?
It was also rumored that Siobhan Finneran would make an appearance as Lady Grantham's scheming maid Sarah O'Brien, according to Belfast Telegraph. The actress sounded pretty enthusiastic about coming back with the chance to create some alluring drama.
"I'd love playing her, but she'd have to go back for some reason," Finneran told The Sun. "I'd love to return and wreck the Bates' marriage or something like that.
"Miss O'Brien was so wicked, bitter, horrible and vile but she was funny as well as being very, very sharp," she continued. "Maybe one day O'Brien will fly back on her broomstick to cause mischief and mayhem."
Series creator Julian Fellowes told Vanity Fair that he would also love it if Miss O'Brien showed up on the series again.
Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in January 2015 on PBS.
