The singer's daughter named Jaya recently revealed that she is indeed a male who now goes by Jay. While Jay's father seemed hesitant to talk about it, he managed to get a statement out.
"You don't really want to open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son," Kelly told Chicago radio station WGCI on Monday.

Jay made the announcement on his gender through Ask.FM, which the singer brought up.
"Don't even give the blogs that kind of credit. You know what I'm saying? Real talk," he said.
"As far as that is concerned, always believe what you see with your own eyes that is. Always believe what you see. That is the best way to go about this business," Kelly added. "And I've heard a lot of things about a lot of people and it was never true."
The singer pointed out that "there's a back story.
"There's a background," he said. "That's why you can't judge nobody."
Despite any tension that may or may not be taking place, Kelly said that he supports all three of his children, especially when it comes to money.
"You save money so your kids can go to college -- no matter what they are or who they are," he said. "They're your kids, you got to support them."
Kelly then said that he and his kids are in love with each other.
